Summary
Symphony of Wimberley seeks a passionate and experienced Cook to join our dedicated team in providing delicious and nourishing meals to our residents. In this role, you will utilize your culinary expertise to prepare a variety of wholesome, appealing dishes while adhering to dietary restrictions and ensuring the highest standards of food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and special dietary needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen workspace at all times.
Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Assist with food ordering and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure sufficient supplies.
Collaborate with the dining services team to create a positive and enjoyable dining experience for residents.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Culinary certificate or relevant experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices, with a current Food Handler's Certification applicable to the State of Texas and Hays County.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills and a resident-centered approach.
