Summary

Symphony of Wimberley seeks a passionate and experienced Cook to join our dedicated team in providing delicious and nourishing meals to our residents. In this role, you will utilize your culinary expertise to prepare a variety of wholesome, appealing dishes while adhering to dietary restrictions and ensuring the highest standards of food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and special dietary needs.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen workspace at all times.

• Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.) safely and efficiently.

• Assist with food ordering and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure sufficient supplies.

• Collaborate with the dining services team to create a positive and enjoyable dining experience for residents.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Culinary certificate or relevant experience preferred.

• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.

• Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices, with a current Food Handler's Certification applicable to the State of Texas and Hays County.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong teamwork skills and a resident-centered approach.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.29 - $15.92 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
